Library and Archives
The Van Gorden-Williams Library & Archives holds one of the world’s most comprehensive collections on the subject of Freemasonry, as well as other fraternal organizations whose development paralleled or was influenced by Masonry. There are currently volunteer opportunities available which include, but aren’t limited to, shelving and organizing archival materials, data entry, cataloging and assisting staff with visitor inquiries. Projects vary and there is potential for more involved research projects. Weekend and weekday shifts are possible.
A volunteer position with Collections Department gives individuals an opportunity to work hands-on with museum professionals and gain insight into the workings of a museum. Available opportunities include research projects and entry level collections management tasks essential to the running of the Collections Department. Must be self-motivated, have attention to detail and good computer skills. Shifts are available Monday-Saturday with flexible times.
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the online application below. If positions are filled, we will keep applications on file and contact interested candidates when new opportunities become available.
